.HYPERBLOCK
.Brief

Hyperblock invites to collectively contribute to a shared architectural project, a user-generated and scalable collaborative configuration. This workshop aggregates individual design decisions, resulting in highly differentiated open architectures of multiple design intentions and objectives.

Using computational tools and combinatorial design strategies, we will design compatible blocks and individualized aggregations of blocks. We will work together with these blocks and clusters in playful design sessions in a realtime collaborative environment to create speculative architectural proposals. During this interactive process, variation emerges through participation, and orientation through individual design intentions.
Furthermore, we will look into detailing and informing these blocks to create human-centric interiors that grow into a highly differentiated architectural configuration: various functions, hard and soft materials, and personal visions of spatial appropriation create a stackable collaborative whole, the Hyperblock.
